These suggestions are used by members of Co-Anon Family Groups to guide us along the path to spiritual freedom.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do be honest with yourself

Do take it easy \u2013 tension is harmful
Do play- find recreation and hobbies
Do keep trying whenever you fail
Do learn the facts about addiction and alcoholism

Don’t<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t be self-righteous
Don\u2019t try to dominate, nag, scold, and complain
Don\u2019t lose your temper
Don\u2019t try to push anyone but yourself
Don\u2019t keep bringing up the past
Don\u2019t keep checking up on your addict\/alcoholic
Don\u2019t wallow in self pity 
Don\u2019t make threats you don\u2019t intend to carry out
Don\u2019t be overprotective
